University of Hull chose AXSIM to drive their Hull Electric Racing Team.
Two of our Formula Simulators installed at the University of Hull for their Hull Electric Racing Team competing in the IMechE Formula Student series against over 100 universities from around the world.
This investment provides students with the latest technology to develop their engineering skills outside of a lecture theatre environment.
Students test out different scenarios and then apply this to their own Formula Student car. On race days data from the car can be sent back to engineers on campus to run live tests and make adjustments in real time.
Professor Ben Hughes, Head of Department of Engineering at the University, said...
"This investment is a real statement of intent from the University, both in terms of its Hull Electric Racing Team and the Mechanical Engineering department as a whole.
It will provide our students with the very latest technology, used by Formula One teams at the very top of the industry, to hone their skills and test out their work in a simulated environment, before hitting the race track."
